If you are traveling from out of town, there are several hotels in Richmond where you can stay. We recommend the Holiday Inn in Richmond for its amenities, as well as the Comfort Inn and Super 8 hotels because of their convenient location near the Meetinghouse.

Museums:
- The Richmond Art Museum showcases works by the American Impressionists, and a number of regional artists.
- The Wayne County Historical Museum contains a variety of artifacts, including a collection of early Richmond-made vehicles, two genuine log cabins, and a mummy.
- The Joseph Moore Museum, located on Earlham’s campus, has exhibits on natural history.
- The Gaar Mansion is the Victorian-style home built for Agnes and Abram Gaar in 1876.
- The Levi Coffin House, in Fountain City, Indiana, was a stop on the Underground Railroad.
Parks:
- Glen Miller Park, located in the East side of Richmond, has walking trails, a playground, fresh spring water, and a lovely rose garden.
- Middle Fork Reservoir, located in the North side of Richmond, has a playground, walking trails, and boats available for rent.
- The Cope Environmental Center, located West of Richmond, has hiking trails and a collection of trees from around the world. It is also where Emmanuel did his Eagle Scout project, constructing platforms at the North and East wetlands.
Shopping:
- Uptown Richmond, on Main Street between 5th Street and 10th Street, has a variety of cafes and small specialty shops.
- Richmond Square Mall, on East Main Street, offers a number of shopping options. The anchor stores are J.C. Penny, Sears, and Dillards.
- Head West on US-40 to Centerville, Indiana, and its Antique Alley.
